Nvidia hat einen neuen Beta-Treiber veröffentlicht, der vor allem Probleme mit Battlefield 3 beheben soll.

Der neue Geforce-Grafikkartentreiber 285.79 liegt nur als Beta-Version vor und ist daher nicht mit dem WHQL-Zertifikat ausgestattet. Der Treiber ist vor allem für Geforce-Besitzer gedacht, die beim Spielen von Battlefield 3 Probleme haben.

Bildruckeln und Grafikfehler bei DirectX-10-Grafikkarten sollen behoben werden. Außerdem soll die Leistung sowohl bei DirectX-10- als auch bei DirectX-11-Grafikkarten steigen. Der Treiber enthält auch neuen SLI- und 3D-Vision-Profile.

Includes several bug fixes and performance improvements for Battlefield 3.

• Fixes cases of irregular performance (stuttering) primarily seen on DirectX 10 GPUs. The fix improves the performance of both DX10 and DX11 GPUs.
• Fixes shadow map corruption seen with DirectX 10 GPUs.
• Fixes cases of black corruption lines/triangles with DirectX 10 GPUs.

Fixes black screen during playback using Windows Media Center.
